This guide walks you through the process and outlines what happens to your data and responsibilities—especially if you are a sole community owner or admin.

Follow these steps to delete your account permanently

  1. Go to your User profile in your Hind Social app/web.

  2. Tap Settings > Delete My Account.

  3. Read the Delete account instructions and navigate to Delete My Account Button

  4. Read the Instructions carefully. ( This may vary depending on your role )

  5. Tap Delete my account and confirm via OTP/email.

What Happens to Your Data

  • Your personal posts and interactions (likes/comments) are deleted from all communities and philosophies.

  • You are removed from all groups, chats, and events.

  • Your Chats with other users won’t be deleted and shown as "Hind User" to others.

  • Your public profile is removed from search, mentions, and member lists.

If You’re a Community Owner

  1. Visit Your Community’s Admin Panel

  2. Navigate to Owner Details

  3. Transfer the community ownership to a new owner

  4. Only after the ownership transfer, you can proceed to delete your account from User Profile

What Happens After Reassignment :

  • Your personal posts get deleted from the community and the main philosophy feed.

  • Posts created under the community/organisation identity are transferred to the new community admin/owner’s name for continuity.

  • Events and groups created by you as a community/organisation are retained and ownership transferred.

Deleting Account of Community Admins

  • A community admin can delete their own account only if there is at least one more admin in the community OR a community owner.

  • Admin roles are automatically reassigned to the next available admin.

Deleting Account of Community Owners

  • A community owner must assign ownership to someone else before deleting their account.

  • Once assigned, you can delete your account like any regular user.
If ownership is not reassigned, deletion is blocked to ensure community continuity.
