1. Who can create posts?
Your ability to post depends on your role and permissions:
Philosophy Admins → can post as Philosophy or Personally.
Community Admins → can post as Community, Organisation, or Personally.
Organisation Admins → can post as Organisation or Personally.
Ambassadors → can post Personally, or as Community/Organisation (if given permission).
Members → can post Personally, subject to community rules and approvals.
Community owners can also set whether posts need admin approval before they are published.
2. How to create a post
Follow these steps to create a post:
Choose your posting identity
Post personally (as yourself)
Or post as an entity (Philosophy, Community, or Organisation - if you have permission)
Write a caption
Every post requires a caption with maximum length of 5000 characters
You can also paste a YouTube shorts or Instagram Reel link in the caption box - it will automatically embed the video into your post.
Select your post format
Hind Social supports multiple content types:Photos → choose up to 20 images from your gallery.
Videos → upload 1 video from your gallery.
Audio → attach an audio file from file manager + choose a thumbnail image.
PDFs → upload a PDF (up to 9 images from the file will be auto-rendered in the post).
Polls → set a question, add up to 7 options, choose poll duration, allow multiple selections, and decide if results are public.
Q&A → ask a question and set when responses close.
YouTube shorts or Instagram Reels → paste the share links from platforms link Youtube and Facebook.
Adjust post settings (optional)
Toggle Reposting (on/off).
Toggle Commenting (on/off).
Tag a Cause, Event, or Visit.
Publish or discard
Posts cannot be saved as drafts.
If you exit while creating a post, you’ll see options:
Discard post
Continue editing
3. Tagging your post
To make posts more engaging and discoverable, you can:
Tag Events → connect your post to a specific event.
Tag Visits → Add locations of communities or sub-communities you visited.
4. Post visibility
Visibility settings depend on your role:
A. Admins
Hind Social level → Share with all philosophy users or restrict to Admins/Ambassadors only.
Community level → Share with community users, community + sub-communities, or restrict to Admins/Ambassadors only.
Sub-community level → Share with sub-community members, community members (on approval), or restrict to Admins/Ambassadors only.
B. Ambassadors
Hind Social level → Share with all philosophy users or restrict to Admins & Ambassadors .
Community level → Share with community users, community + sub-communities, or restrict to Admins & Ambassadors.
Sub-community level → Share with sub-community members, community members (on approval), or restrict to Admins & Ambassadors.
C. Members
Hind Social → Public to all philosophy members only.
Community → Public to community members.
Sub-community → Share with Sub-community members (and community on approval).
ℹ Private options are not available to members.
5. Post moderations
For Hind Social posts
Your post will go for approvals with “Approval Pending” status if the platform detects inappropriate content such as violence or any sexual content or content which disrespects anyone . Others cannot see the post until the Hind Social team approves it.
If the post is rejected by the admins it will show as “Rejected by Admin”. Only you can view it, and you may delete it.
For community posts
Depending on your settings done by the respective community owners , your post may:
Publish immediately → if you have direct posting rights.
Go into approval → your post will show as “Approval Pending” in your profile. Others cannot see it until approved.
Get rejected → your post will show as “Rejected by Admin”. Only you can view it, and you may delete it.
Post Moderation & Removals
Hind Social is a community-first platform. To keep the space safe and respectful for everyone:
If your post is found inappropriate or violates community guidelines, it may be removed.
Posts can be removed by:
Hind Social Team (platform-level moderation)
Community Owners/Admins
Organisation Admins (at their respective levels)
In such cases, the post will no longer appear in the feed, community, or your profile.
